Our Story.
The Paladin restaurants are the inspiration of a group of good guys who just happened to be good friends. On one notorious evening under the Shananndoah moon, the friends threw back a few drinks and indulged in a great meal, and before they knew it, the first inklings of their future shared venture began to percolate. The plan was simple: create a fabulous space, serve good food and good beer, and let good times roll. They just happened to have a colossal bull sculpture named Paladin. They decided that he should mark the spot; and the rest is Clarke County history. If you see the bull, you’re here, so come on in. You’re going to love what these guys dreamed up.

Guy in Charge
Dan Myers
Dan is the brainchild behind our humble establishment. Born and raised in a family of restaurateurs, his jam is creating spaces that people just want to be in. It was that flair for making any space feel like home, that inspired a group of like-minded friends to go all in on a neighborhood bar and grill done Dan’s way. Because our guy-in-charge hails from the Winchester area, it only made sense that he would bring his version of the best darn place around to hang out, home. Today you can experience Dan’s high bar for a bar and grill at two locations: Paladin in Stephens City and P2 in Clear Brook.
Chef , Paladin Bar & Grill
Trey Mills
Trey is our very own homegrown success story. He started his climb up the culinary ladder in one of our very own first kitchens. He soon discovered his true love for the culinary, and has made hid gift a career. Trey is Chef whiz kid in the kitchen at P2 @ Woolen Mill. His creativity and genius is responsible for many of the original and inspired dishes that make our little grill so extraordinary.
Paladin, The Bull.
Our original Paladin bull sits just out front of our first restaurant, Paladin Bar and Grill. The Original Paladin was sculptured by renowned artist Bettye Hamblen Turner and is just one of five bulls in a series by the artist, crafted from stainless steel, carbon steel, and recycled motorcycle and car parts. He’s a beauty, and if you don’t have a selfie with him yet, we highly recommend grabbing one next time you visit Paladin Bar and Grill in Stephens City.
P2 @ Woolen Mill in Clearbrook is home to the big green Bull, P2 for short. P2 the Bull was commissioned by our fearless leaders to carry on the legacy of the original big guy, and holy Bull, does P2 fit the bill? He’s big, he’s green, and he is impossible to miss. Lastly, the fabulous Paladin Bull mural on our exterior wall at Paladin Downtown in downtown Winchester is another stunning tribute to the original big guy. Local artist and muralist Sarah Gallahan is to be credited with this spectacular work of art. The mural is a breathtaking tribute to not only our Bull but also our mission of love for community, and like Paladin Downtown itself, the statement mural has been the talk of the town since its reveal.
Look for the Bull.
When you find him, you know you’re somewhere special.
